Q.

Hello dr...my daughter is having fever from last evening..I have given her calpol at 11 pm when fever was 102 F and again at 2:34 am when fever was 101.1 F.Now her temperature is 101.1F again...what should I do pls revert.

A. Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried iff required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations. cold spongifgng of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .
