hello Dr. my child age is 4.5 year old he Suffring from hair fall plz help

A. Hair loss in babies is very common and because of many reasons. Because of the withdrawal maternal hormone initial hairfall is there. After birth all the hair of the baby remain in the resting phase and usually by 8 to 12 weeks of age shedding of hairs is there . Hairs will grow back mostly by 3-7 months but a proper quality hair will be there by around 2 -4years of age. Cradle cap is also a cause for frequent shedding of hairs. along with traction alopecia because of continuous pressure on head in lying position

A. It will probably be due to deficiency of iron which is common with kids are they say it’s white advise you to go ahead with a medication I can iron supplement and also you can get a check with the skin doctor maybe it could be some kind of a fungal infection in the scalp as well so just get the checks to be more sure about itWrite Your Answer Here
