Q.
hello dr, my baby is 19 days old and she gets scared while sleeping.. and suddenly she starts crying.. and got irritated.. is this normal ?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Colic in babies may be considered when baby is crying for more than 2 to 3 hours with no other specific reason and in a high pitched cry with arching of the body and flushed face.
There could be many causes for colic in babies like gerd immature digestive system allergies ingulping of aur while feeding and lactose intolerance.
Mothers diet and lifestyle can also be a major factor.
Management could be in form of medicines like probiotics digestive enzymes antiflagytulence and some home remedies.
Avoidance of formula milk cow's milk . Cycling manuvours to relieve gas massage and proper burping after each feeding is also helpful .
