hello Dr, last week my daughter 3 yrs suffered from fever for 2 days subsided on Sunday. again started on Tuesday this week till now. went to Dr advised to take blood test on Saturday if fever persist. but she is active no high fever around 99 to 101 not always between gaps. please advice

A. Fevers from bacterial infections go away after 1-3 days of taking the correct antibiotic, but may improve even without it. If your child still has a fever after taking 3 days of antibiotics they should be seen again by their GP.

Q. hello, I am arpeeta. my baby boy is 5 year 3 months old. he had fever on last October, the fever subsided after taking antibiotics. again, he had fever on November, the fever automatically subsided after 3 days without any antibiotics. again, he had fever on January 2022,which again subsided automatically after 3 days without the help of antibiotics. he got fever again in march just 3 days back, and the fever again subsided after 3 days and he didn't need any antibiotics. I just want to know that, is it normal for a 5 year kid to have fever in a gap of 1 month to 1.5 months??? Is there something to worry about?
