Hello Doctor, There is a general saying that children vaccines are of two types.. painless and pain types. Private hospitals are providing painless vaccines for children.. Is that true?

Pooja GuptaMom of 2 children4 years agoA. I believe its nothing like painful or painless. My doctor has sprayed the area before putting syringe inside which helps the baby feel less pain.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. there are certain vaccines which are optional and are available in the private clinic and not in the government hospital if you wish to get your child vaccinated for those then you should take guidance from your local pediatrician and get all the further queries cleared regarding this and scheduling of the va seenccination.

Painless or acellular vaccines contain fewer antigens or only some of the cellular material rather than complete cells which are found in the painful variants. Painless versions are more commonly used in the immunisation of young children and in India are still usually administered via syringe.
