Hello doctor! my daughter is of 1 year 8 months.she have soil and wall cement.please suggest what should I do.

ExpertDr.Sabiha AnjumObstetrician and Gynaecologist3 years agoA. whenever the child is eating soil wall cement it is called as pica and it will usually come whenever the baby is having multi vitamin deficiency or iron deficiency and better consult a doctor so that they can also give medication for deworming

mam, mostly the reason behind it is nutritional deficiencies.
so please offer food items like green leafy vegetables,fresh fruits , nuts, dairy products, grains food etc which are full of all essential nutrients.
avoid giving RO water to your child.
as it can cause nutritional deficiencies of vitamin B12 and vitamin D.
provide sun exposure for 20 minutes a day.
