hello doctor my baby is always getting hiccups and crying when she is moving to sleep now she is 4months old

A. hiccups in children occur due to gas which is present in the stomach. during the feeding process child takes air along with milk and that air goes inside the stomdach which irritates leading to hiccups. you have to offer feeding as well as do proper burping(for atleast 20 minutes) to decrease this problem and it is a self limiting problem during hiccupxs just give breastfeeding again and keep the child in upright position for burping which will stop the episode
