Hello doctor, my baby girl is now on 3months old. she is having high fever on past three days and we visited hospital, doctor suggested me to give crocin 120 paracetamol paediatric oral suspension 120mg/5ml, but still my baby is having fever. She is ok on when giving medicine after 4hours she is having fever high.

A. your history tells us that the child is suffering from viral fever and in viral fever you have to give only symptomatic treatment that is for fever have to give paracetamol(max 4 times per day if needed) and plenty of water to drink and at least 60 to 70% of the regular diet and if the fever continues beyond 3 days then meet the doctor the duration of action of paracetamol is only for 6 hours and after that fever can reoccur

But the medicine cannot be given every four hours a medicine can only be repeated after six hours so it’s a fever is not yet and controlled and I would recommend you to get a blood test done for your child to figure out what’s the issue because of the fever does not subside within 72 hours and it could be due to viral infection as wellWrite Your Answer Here
