Hello Doctor. My babies are 16 month old and they are still on mother feed along with sold food. Could you plz suggest, whether my wife should take COVID vaccine or not. ?

A. my personal opinion would be that a breastfeeding mother should take the vaccination for protection of herself as well as her child government of India does not allow lactating mother and pregnant mother to take vaccination. at present the government does not have any statistics and studies and clinical trials to show whether this vaccine is safe for them or not. but according to Western studies and western medical guidelines they recommend that lactating mothers can take the vaccination. also so there are many e gynaecological and paediatric doctors would recommend this. the final decision has to be taken by the mother after consulting your personal doctor
