A. A one year baby should ideally take 11-12 hours of sleep in the night and 2-3 hours naps in the afternoon. During this time, as they learn to crawl and walk, it us important to give enough rest to them for healthy growth and development. In diet, start giving more of finger foods which require chewing like chapati with paneer gravy, besan and beetroot cheela, stuffed parantha, idli-dosa with sambhar, oats with nuts, seasonal fruits, veg sandwich, veg cutlet, pan cake, waffle, boiled eggs, chicken soup, omelette, etc.
