meeta agarwalMom of 2 children4 years agoA. Good morning, Children can have an eyesight test at any age. They do not need to be able to read, or even speak. An eyesight test is particularly important if there's a history of childhood eye problems, such as squint or lazy eye, in your family.
Signs that a child may have vision problems include:
constant eye rubbing.
extreme light sensitivity.
poor focusing.
poor visual tracking (following an object)
abnormal alignment or movement of the eyes (after 6 months of age)
chronic redness of the eyes.
chronic tearing of the eyes.
a white pupil instead of black.
