Q.

Hello doc.. my one mon 5 days old baby is having sleep properly nd active too. he is doing pee 8 10 times per day .. still his gain weight is only 60 gm per week.. what to do should i continue formula milk or any other medicines to increase breast milk...

A. in first six months the minimum weight gain should be 500 mg per month and it can go up to 1 kg per month also. the urine output should be more than 6 to 7 times per day. the child should sleep after taking feeding. meet the doctor for weight assessment. if the above criteria is achxieved then the child is having adequate milk intake. if the growth of the child is proper there is no need to worry about the sleeping pattern/ feeding as well as the stool frequency of the child

A. good evening I would recommend you to try to give mother's milk as much as possible if it is not sufficient then you can definitely supplement with the help of formula to make sure that is no problem
