If nothing is there give liquids on frequent intervals to ensure nutrition. Give home cooked food of your baby's choice. Give small frequent meals. Try different preparations and variety to make food interesting for your baby.

Involve the kid in meal preparations like selecting the vegetables to be cooked or setting up the table before mealtimes. Let the kid decide what he wants to eat but offer options and that too limited. For example, do you want a aloo parantha or paneer parantha?
Lovleena MishraMom of 2 children4 years agoA. Give him a bowl and a spoon to eat and let him eat on his own. Let him play with the food and make a mess and this is how he will learn to eat independently. Give him a variety of healthy foods. Offer his favourite foods along with the new foods that you want to introduce in his diet. Offer small portions of food and give more only when the kid asks. Offer different textures of foods. Colours attract kids and so offer colourful foods on colourful plates and in colourful bowls and cut foods into different shapes. Avoid distractions like TV, laptop, mobile phone, tablet etc. during mealtimes. Eat as a family together so that the kid learns good and healthy eating habits from the parents and siblings. Offer healthy snacks like steamed vegetable wedges or fruits.
