Q.

Good evening Doctor.My son every month he is getting fever it stay for 2 to 3 days and goes. what might be the reason for this monthly fever.

A. Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever . Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks . Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of h15 mg / kg/ dose. Can be repeated after 4-6 hrs if needed . Lukewarm sponge bath can be given as home remedy to decreaseu fever. Adequate fluid intake is also beneficial. Urine output monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydration .

A. I think it could be an infection associated with blood of your child I suggest you order Chu please cross check with your doctor asked them if you can get a blood test done for the child because of blood types is actually going to give you a very clear picture of the issue that’s happening
