dry cough while coughing and also crying for the extreme pain doctor suggested dectromethorphan for him and can u suggest any syrup that is soothing

A. Maam you have to go ahead with what doctor recommending as the cough medicines previously which were given a lot of them have been banned by the government which is why it is not advisable to give any medicine to the child without assistance so what is been suggested
