Dr. pls confirm baby ko day time pe 103 fever tha... after giving meftagesic & antibiotic her body temperature is 94 to 95 & body is cool & she is feeling very weak. pls suggest what I do.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Fever is commonly seen in babies and mostly it's viral infection which is very common in children.
But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also be ruled out .
Antipyretic like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamic acid are usually given to reduce fever . Cold sponging with lukewarm water is also helpful .
Doctor consultation shoulgd be done if symptoms like excessive irritabilihty dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .
