Q.

Dear Dr, My 7 month old baby has been suffering from a running nose for the last one month. We have consulted a pediatrician and given some medicines. But still she is having a mild cold and running nose sometimes. Kindly suggest. We have been taking care of all other environmental conditions.

A. This may due to either allergy or infection and some times due to climate changes and temperature variations . For cold you can give drops wikoryl AF 0.5 ml to the child 2-3 times per day. try to prevent temperature variations around the child and give nasal saline drops frequently for nasal blockage, simple cough and cold. Indirect steam is helpful. Home remedies like Tulsi Ginger diluted with water combinations (honey can be added after 1 year age)and turmeric with milk at least 2 times per day. Give warm water to drink If no improvement in 2 or 3 days then meet your doctor paracetamol for fever and pain.

A. Sometimes you do weather change little bit of allergy can get aggravated so if it is okay with you get yourself checked for an allergy it could be due to weather change or dust because right now the pollution is really high could be because of that and if the allergy is positive take a homeopathic treatment treatment for your child
