Dear Doctor My baby boy is 26Months old. He listen and understand each and every word. He does everything whatever we say. But he does not speak a single word. Is there any problems ?? We are worried. Kindly Help . Thanks

We always talk to him. Even he is listening rhymes on TV also.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Regarding Speech Baby usually start mono syllable by 6 to 7 months of age then by syllable words come by 9 to 10 months of age
then by 12 to 14 months of age baby say two to three words followed by jargon speech at 15-16 months .
child can start sfdaying simple sentences by two years of age .
just make the child comfortable and do more interaction with the child so that he can learn to speak sentences properly.
if the speech does not comes even by three years of age you need to consult your doctor for a proper assessment of the child .
