Q.

Can we hug and kiss the baby normally once healed with HSV 2 infection and without any breakouts on face .Please suggest what things to avoid once confirmed with HSV as there are many articles that says HSV spreads through saliva , kissing the baby and should not share hair comb and towels too. My baby often like to cuddle and sleep what can be done . Should we stop breast feeding too. Since I m only diagnosed with genital herpes and no break outs on face what precautions can be taken and which all food to avoid and take to stop further reoccurance

A. Always wash your hands before handling the baby and use a mask to avoid kissing or contact with saliva. It’s better to avoid kissing the baby and first recover completely and follow your doctor advice

A. I think it is better to avoid sometimes you don’t realise but you know these things are not healthy in gender also now you are talking about some problem which has happened when we talk about general terms also the doctors don’t recommend you are advised to kiss on the face you don’t realise when you transmit your infections and germs to the child with that
