Yes you can use mild shampoos which is specifically made for babies.  If he has dandruff then apply oil before shampooing and wash it off after half an hour.  Also please rinse thoroughly so that shampoo gets cleaned properly.  At times this also causes dandruff.  Wash the baby's head well, dry it with a clean towel if possible sun dry.
