My baby is 8 months old. His weight is 8.5. Yesterday night he got 102 fever. We took him to the hospital and the doctor gave augpen-hs syrup 2 times in a day(5 ml) till 5 days along with mucolite syrup 3 times in a day 2.5 ml.. and also said if the fever is above 99 can give fepnil 250mg syp. 
I just wanted a second opinion.. shall I proceed with the above medicines

I have no paracetamol  because  my baby have first time fever 😩 and I gave him sponge water after sometime t sweat is coming   and going   ..... sweat coming  what that mean

Fever is the reaction of the body towards any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body and only when the temperature is above 99F it is considered as fever, so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg per kg body weight/dose as the first line treatment this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever in between the doses ,but if it continues even thereafter you should consult your doctor for proper treatment. if the temperature is not controlled by paracetamol alone meftal p can be given in between as a single dose but only under medical guidance.these medicines will also work to relieve any pain or body ache to a good extent. but in case of infection in which the fever is associated with other problems also iti is recommended to get the clinical assessment done and get a proper treatsiment done by a doctor.

Give calpol Or paracetamol to the child the dosage is going to be 1ML correctly and you can repeat the medicine after six hours give this medicine continue cold sponging and also keep monitoring the temperature every two hours and consult your doctor in the morning
