it is normal.
I mean,if a baby is breastfed baby ,it is caused by imbalance between foremilk and hindmilk.
so please feed your child on each breast at least 20 minutes so he or she can get full fat hindmilk well.
and if a child is formulafed baby then it is caused by iron fortified formula.
so don't worry.

but if your child passes green stool with mucus and foul smell then you must consult your pediatrician.

Green coloured Motions are normally seen in babies and commonly it may be due to less feed intake , or formula milk feeding.
if the baby is passing motion frequently in a day and the colour of the motion is ranging from light yellow to dark green or brown it may be considered as normafril in such a case only frequent feeding and exclusive breastfeeding is suggested.
If it is associated with mucous, are watery and have bad smell then there could be some infection, also so if there are any other associated problem like fever ,vomiting then you should consult your doctor .
