ExpertDr Laxmi Chavan-SawantAyurvedic Gynaecologist 2 years agoA. Thyroid is being observed in kids mostly due to genetic reason and that also hypothyroidism.
Concerning about hyperthyroidism, it is seen in babies, But there is no specific be mentioned for the cause.

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 7 m old boy2 years agoA. When the thyroid gland produces too little thyroid hormone (underactive), the condition is called hypothyroidism. Thyroid problems can occur at any age; infants can even be born with a thyroid problem!
