you can start using toothpaste for kids as soon as the first milk tooth erupts..
use age appropriate kids toothpaste like colgate natural, colgate kids in rice grain size amount along with small head soft bristles toothbrush twice a day

as a child is 1 year old,you must use baby friendly toothpaste.
I mean, you can use any good brand like mee Mee, mamaearth, pigeon etc
