Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. the smell may be due to concentrated urine or due to the supplements / multivitamin / high protein diet the child is taking.
give more fluids to the child / food rich in fluidds.
if the child is not having any complaints then no treatment is required but if child is crying while passing urine and not improvixng with fluids then take a medical opinion.

Yes use diaper
Change diaper frequently every 4-5 hours of intervals wash area often with lukewarm water keep diaper free time in daytime apply coconut oil or olive oil or apply diaper rash cream regularly everytime you change diaper
