Shaista TarannumMom of a 16 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. ideal weight totally depends on the birth weight if the baby. initially for tye first few weeks baby may lose weight also and that's absolutely fine. after that they will start gaining weight. try and breastfeed exclusively till completion of six months. after birth baby will put on 500 to 700 grams every month. this is the most ideal situation. however a few grams more or less is also good.
