#asktheexperts Sir, my daughter 14m, weight 8.7kg is having fever 102. We have already administered Calpol 120 thrice but fever is not going away. What home remedy we can apply at night now

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Fever is commonly seen in babies and mostly it's viral infection which is very common in children.
But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also be ruled out .
Antfipyretic like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamic acid are usually given to reduce fever . Cold spronging with lukewarm water is also helpful .
Doctor consultation should be done if syemptoms like excessive irritability dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .
