Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. It is very normal for small children that sometimes they will not pass stool for 10 days also and sometimes they will pass stool more than 7 to 8 times per day.
If the consistency of the stool is is Semi solid to semi liquid do not worry about the frequency of the stool.
No medicines needs to be given in such a case but you have to meet the doctor only if the stool consistency is hard.
It is advisable to give only milk to the child and nothing else before completion of 6 months of age
POOJA GOSWAMIMom of a 10 yr 6 m old girl3 years agoA. As the only food infants take is either breastmilk or formula, it gets digested easily and comes out in the form of sweat or urine. If baby is active and does not show any signs of discomfort, it is fine. Infact, they can do well even if they do not pass stool for 7-8 days straight as long as urination is frequent.
