Q.

#asktheexperts My son lost his first lower milk teeth at age of 3 years 7 months and second at 4 years 3 months. He is healthy and active . his height and weight comes in mortal range . Consulted with dentist and x ray was normal. There is permanent teeth underneath and root resorption had happened. I worried if there is something that is causing early tooth loss

A. Namaste Mom, This condition varies from child to child as such. so if in case the child had teethed early the fall would be dependent on that. also can be due to decay and infection certain rare conditions also do play a role in shift of timeline take a second opinion in case fallen teeth you dont observe a new teeth developing , any sort of bleeding or pain , swelling

A. Early loss of milk teeth can be a normal variation in some children. Tooth eruption and shedding timelines vary widely and are often influenced by genetics. Since your child is healthy, active, growing well, and the dental X-ray shows normal root resorption with permanent teeth developing underneath, this appears to be a physiological (natural) process rather than a problem. Early teething in infancy can also lead to earlier shedding later. In the absence of decay, infection, trauma, or systemic illness, there is usually no underlying cause for concern. Regular dental follow-ups are important to monitor spacing and eruption of permanent teeth. Parents should seek further evaluation only if multiple teeth are lost rapidly, there is pain, infection, or delayed eruption of permanent teeth. Otherwise, reassurance and routine dental care are sufficient.

A. Maam you should just check with your dentist only what can be done about it because the doctor is going to tell you what is the problem and what is going to be the solution for that because this is something which is not very common to be hurt it’s better to consultant orthodontic only regarding the doubt that you have to clear all your doubts and have a better understanding over the situation
