#asktheexperts my son is 5 months and weight is 4.8 kgs. is the weight okay or do we need to give extra to gain weight? thanks in advance

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 9 m old boy4 years agoA. Yes it is normal, By 5 months, your baby's birth weight may have doubled. Babies continue to gain about 1¼ pounds (560 grams) this month and about 0.8 inches (2 centimeters) in length.
