A. It is normal for a 1-month-old baby to frequently ask for feeds. At this age, babies have small stomachs and digest milk quickly, so they may want to feed every 1.5 to 3 hours, including during the night. Frequent feeding also helps stimulate breast milk production. This pattern is especially common during growth spurts, when babies need more nourishment. As long as your baby is gaining weight, passing urine regularly (at least 6 times a day), and seems content after feeding, frequent feeding is usually not a cause for concern.
