#asktheexperts my baby is 4 month old and he has not poop from last 6 days. He is on breastfeed only. What should I do ?

A. It is very common that children less than 6 months of age may not pass stool for sometime 10 days also. Slight discomfort as well as straining while passing urine and stool is also normal. You have to just take care of colic pain as well as gas in the abdomen and do not worry about the frequency of the stool if the consistency of the stool is semi solid to solid. please note thaxt intermittent crying that you see might be due to colic pain and not due to constipation.

A. hey mommy as per doctor baby can poop once in 7 days or 7 to 8 times a day its normal otherwise if baby seems cranky we can make hing water (in 1 spoon of warm water add little hing) and massage around naval in clockwise direction
