Q.

#asktheexperts My baby is 2 month old. He did not got motions since last 2 days and he is constantly putting lot of pressure today. Also he was facing difficulty in passing the gas today so i have given him colicaid. Please suggest what can be done so that he will pass the motion.

A. Hi, Please check with doctor before giving any medication. Also it’s common in toddlers to not poop for 2 days. Make sure that you are helping your baby doing exercise with will help him pass stool and gas as well. Watch youtube videos for reference..

A. He is completely on breast milk.

A. Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and also when initially the semi solid food has been started after 6 months . you cang give bonnisan drops and some enzyme preparations in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age . Medications are required but it should be gfiven only in medical supervision .
