Most babies experience hair loss in the first 6 months due to hormonal changes after birth. This condition is called telogen effluvium and is temporary. Your baby's hair may fall out in patches or thin out before new hair starts growing in its place, often with a different texture or color.
However, if the hair fall is excessive, with visible scalp irritation, redness, or bald spots not filling in over time, it's a good idea to consult a pediatrician to rule out issues like fungal infections or nutritional deficiencies.
