#asktheexperts My baby bites mother's nipples when breastfeeding. baby was premature and got habituated to paldaa feeding in nicu. Baby has just started taking direct breast feeding but she bites mother's nipples and breast. the bite is so painful , she cannot express her milk by pump and cannot feed the baby due to pain. she is using nipcare cream on nipples , areola but the pain did not reduce

she can use nipple shield for time being
like Babyhug nipple shield
it will help to avoid pain while feeding
try different feeding positions.
wear loose fitting Cotton clothes
