#asktheexperts My 5.5 months old baby is peeing very recently from past couple of days. The frequency is reduced as well as the quantity. He is on exclusive breastfeeding. Is it concerning ?

A. Hello mom what ever you eat and drink has a direct effect on the quality of the your feed. so keep your self hydrated and also climate also plays a role

A. if the pee count is less then it is surely matter of concern dear. low pee count indicates that your supply is low. for 5.5 month baby primary source of nutrition is only breast milk. are you feeding the milk to baby atleast once in 2 hours. also keep yourself well hydrated and try to eat high protein food so that it boosts your milk supply. also I would suggest you to get in touch with your pediatrician soon, he will guide you with right solution. my sister in law had low supply from the beginning, no amount of home remedy helped hence our pediatrician suggested us to use Aptamil Gold stage 1 for our 5 months old nephew. it contains probiotics and HMOs and is close to breast milk. check with your doctor about Aptamil Gold too, the doctor will guide you well
