#asktheexperts My 2months old baby girl has constipation from last few days. How can we get rid of it?

A. straining while passing stool as well as urine is normal. the child is crying due to colic pain (due to gas) and not due to the reason that the child has not passed the stool. infants may not pass stool for 10 days also and if the consistency of the stool is semi solid to solid it is not constipation. you can consider constipationz only if it is hard and dry stools. you can give anticolic medicines and meet your doctor. burping / upright position for 20 minutes will help in decreasing tzhe gas and future colic pain

A. Constipation is very normal and they say to look after the fact if your child is taking all the feeding properly and the urine output is good showing no sign of discomfort and general then don’t worry about it a child can go without pooping for 7 to 10 days also
