#asktheexperts my 2 week old baby hiccups a lot. Is it something to wrong about?

A. hiccups in children occur due to gas which is present in the stomach. during the feeding process child takes air along with milk and that air goes inside the stomach which irritates leading to hiccups. d you have to offxer feeding as well as do proper burping(for atleast 20 minutes) to decrease this problem and it is a self limiting problem during hiccups just give breastfeeding again and keep the child in upright position for burping which will stop the episode

A. No no there’s nothing wrong about it it is completely normal in common for a child to have issues like hiccups from the time of birth as they are completely normal every day and has to settle down on its own only so you do not have to worry about it as of now
