POOJA KOTHARIExpecting Mom due in 1 month2 months agoA. Some vomiting or mild discomfort after vaccination can be normal in babies, especially within the first 24–48 hours. However, persistent or forceful vomiting (more than 2–3 times, especially if it looks like it causes distress or includes greenish/yellow fluid), signs of dehydration (less urine, dry mouth, sunken fontanelle), or poor feeding and lethargy are not normal and need medical attention.
Since your baby is just 2.5 months old and vomiting after vaccination, monitor her closely:
If the vomiting is mild and infrequent, you can continue to breastfeed or formula-feed in small amounts frequently. If the vomiting continues for more than a day, worsens, or comes with fever, irritability, or refusal to feed — consult your pediatrician immediately.
It’s always best to err on the side of caution in very young babies.
