POOJA KOTHARIExpecting Mom due in 1 month2 months agoA. In the 9th month of twin pregnancy, experiencing a fast heartbeat (palpitations) can be common due to the increased blood volume, pressure on the heart from the growing uterus, hormonal changes, and extra strain from carrying twins. If the heartbeat increase is occasional, not too high (less than 100–110 resting), and not associated with chest pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or swelling, it is usually not a cause for concern.
However, since you are in the final month and carrying twins (which puts more stress on your heart), it is always best to mention this to your obstetrician. They may check your blood pressure, hemoglobin level, thyroid function, and possibly do an ECG to rule out any underlying issues. Rest well, avoid stress, stay hydrated, and avoid caffeine or heavy meals. But if the heartbeat is consistently high or you feel faint, seek immediate medical care.
