#asktheexperts I'm using nipple shield while feeding my 2 month old. i tried feeding her removing the shield, but she refuses to latch. Please advise if it is fine to use nipple shield continuously till I breast feed. Also how long can we use the same shield. Any expiry?? please advise

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Hello, your baby girl is 2 months old and she is taking breast feeding with a nipple shield and she doesn’t like to take it without it so either your breast nipples are flat or gray

s madaanMom of a 9 yr 8 m old girl3 years agoA. if baby is comfortable and feeding nicely you need not to worry about the same if your baby is otherwise comfortable with the nipple Shield while feeding you can continue with the same and gradually try to remove it
