POOJA KOTHARIExpecting Mom due in 1 month2 months agoA. To know if your breast milk is sufficient for your baby, especially in the first 6 months, look for these signs:
Enough wet diapers – At least 6 to 8 wet diapers per day shows good hydration. Regular bowel movements – Young babies poop several times a day; this may reduce as they grow. Weight gain – Your baby should steadily gain weight as per growth charts during doctor visits. Active and alert – Your baby should be active, alert when awake, and feeding every 2–3 hours. Satisfied after feeding – If your baby seems relaxed or sleepy after a feed, it usually means they’re full.
If your baby is not gaining weight or seems fussy or unsatisfied after most feeds, consult your pediatrician.
