#asktheexperts I got 2 c section deliveries. my younger kid is 16 months old. i get pain near my stitches some times. but it is ok from outside. is it normal getting pain near stitches when I do more work.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. it is very common that post cesarean section there will be pain at the incision site for at least 2 to 3 weeks and sometimes 4 weeks.
but if there is sudden zincreasing pain then you will have to rule out local infection which might be present at the incision site. it is advisable to meet the doctor and apply any local antzibacterial cream if there is any discharge from the incision site.
