#asktheexperts hii I had my c section on February 7th... and my baby immediately admitted to NICU for 12 days.. now she is not able to latch breast milk... please suggest me the Solution regarding this

SandhyaMom of a 8 yr 8 m old girl3 years agoA. Hi, it might take a couple of days for Baby to get adjusted to breastfeed. Always as soon as the baby wakes up first try to latch your baby directly and then you can give top feed. Make sure to hold the baby in 40° angle position and the Aerola is completely inside the babies mouth which will help baby to suck easily. If you are not getting the position you can consult a lactation she’ll be the best person to help you with this. Concentrate on your diet have a healthy fibre and calcium rich food and take adequate liquid.
