#asktheexperts hi, my daughter is 1.6 year old, she has started eating mud & cardboard ...is it a sign of any deficiency ? or what could be done to stop her?

A. yes, seems like Pica, an eating disorder that is quite common in infant n toddler ..The disorder is defined as persistent cravings to eat nonfood items ..It is due to calcium or iron deficiency in babies... please do check with your paedritician.

A. hi yes it is sign of calcium or iron deficiency so please give Healthy and well blanaced diet. give green veggies, fresh fruits, nuts, dairy products etc. give sunlight atleast 20 minutes a day avoid giving RO water
