#asktheexperts Hi ..my baby girl is 5 days old ... her bilirubin levels are high (18.5 on 4th day).. Is it ok to continue with breast feeding and expose morning sunlight. Is phototherapy essential at the NICU.?

Sir , yes you should continue to breastfeed well. this is extremely important. but at the same time if the doctors are advising to give phototherapy the please follow the doctors advice. sunlight everyday is good. but still if level is high then phototherapy may be required.
