#AskTheExpert Hi Baby was test with jaundice with 13.5 on day 4 and 15.5 on day 5. so started phototherapy lat night on 5th day even after more than 24 hrs of phototherapy still the bilirubin level is 13.15, today is day 7 early morning.could please suggest why bilirubin levels are not coming down even after phototherapy. what can we do to reduce bilirubin levels of baby

Born date is Dec 9th. on 13 Dec Jaundice was 22 after that admitted and give photo therapy admitted on 13 Dec 5 PM IST. on Dec 15 morning jaundice was 16. after that give 20 hours photo therapy and discharge us on date 16th morning. Again we are come at check up on 18th dec jaundice again increase 19.6. Doctor said to wait and check for one day we test again on 19th dec Jaundice was 19.38. Doctor said suggest again photo therapy for 36 to 48 hours. Hey expert can you give me suggestions and what is reason to increase jaundice. first 3 4 days of born mother have some fiding problem but after 5 days it is good. Please help us Thank you

Q. #asktheexpert my son is born on 9th October and diagnosed with jaundice on 12th October visually. after phototherapy of 2 days .. his level was 15.5 on 14 October and 13.2 on 15 October when we were discharged. on 21 October level was 15 again and then phototherapy was repeated. level was 11.5 on 24 October and 9.9 on 25 October. g6pd test is normal. as of now he has around 8 to 10 wet diapers and 4 5 dirty diapers. urine is colourless and potty is bright yellow.
