#asktheexperts Hi Doctor!! My baby birth weight was 2.9kgs. She has just completed 9 months and her weight is 7.5kgs. Is she underweight for her age. She is taking food properly and is active. Please suggest if she is underweight and if I need to add any specific foods to gain weight.

A. Hi mom No ur baby is not underweight. The weight of your baby is fine. The weight of 7 months baby should be anywhere between 6.5-9 kgs. Take care and all the best
