#asktheexperts Hello Sir, My baby is one month old. A drop of pus is coming from the umblical cord stump. the navel is not yet dry . what to do ? I am using povidone iodine and metronidazole ointment from today .

A. umbilical granuloma may be the reason for the pus Further it is advisable to consult your local doctor for proper examination if required there is need for appropriate investigations also in this regard o k

A. If It is helping in any manner then you continue with the same and if not then you get a check with your doctor because a lot of time these things would be a sign for umbilical hernia as well and once you get it assist it will probably be more sure about it so it’s important to get it checked once
