#asktheexperts hello sir..i am Dr Sriparna. My baby is 15days old, he everytime feeds only for 8-10 mins, then sleeps for 2/3hour. how can i be sure that he is getting sufficient portion of milk ?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Sleep Cycle in smaller babies is very different and they have a certain pattern initially which becomes regularize at around 6 to 8 months of age and if the babyt is comforgtable with no irritability because of infantile colic nasal blockage any regurgitation etc you should not worry just give a comfortable position to the baby and no medicine is required.

F If your child is sleeping well enough for 2 to 3 hours after taking a feed for 10 minutes and I think that’s good enough also check the weight if your child is gaining decent weight every month according to an average about 3 to 400 g every month that means your child is gaining sufficient breastfeeding from you
